While flying through space, your rocket started running low on fuel and had to make an emergency landing on a nearby moon. Can you scrounge up enough fuel from the moon's resources to escape?

Made for the Weekly Game Jam 129.

The objective of the game is to collect enough fuel for your rocket through using your pick on the rocks. Collect the fuel pellets that drop and bring them back to the rocket. Once your rocket is fuelled enough, press Space nearby to take off to the next moon.

The syringe can be used to draw oxygen from the rocks for your survival, but this will cause them to have less fuel pellets if mined.

The flamethrower can be used to kill aliens, and it drains oxygen faster. If 20 aliens are killed on a single moon, an upgrade will be offered when taking off.

Moons get progressively harder. There is no end.

Controls:

Movement - WASD/Arrow keys

Switch to pick - 1

Switch to syringe - 2

at times its hard you find the ship since the ground is all one color and theres no visial details to lock onto. maybe have a texture for teh ground or static objects that arnt simulated

Simple, polished gameplay. I like the art, the sounds, but it could use a little bit of music. With the upgrades, maybe make the effect more dramatic, or put in random upgrades? Maybe there could be more types of upgrades.

Yeah, I planned all of that, but ended up not really having enough time in the jam. Definitely going to do it if I come back to this to polish it up. Thanks!

I really like the aesthetic of this game! Balancing between getting air from rocks and fuel from them is tricky, and the race for it all was fun!

If there’s one thing I’d recommend, maybe it would be easier to control some if you held the spacebar to mine instead of having to tap it continuously. Not a huge deal, though.

Overall, a fun little game! 😊
